Aangezien ik een grote interesse heb in films, heb ik me gewaagd aan het maken van concept art.
In samenwerking met Monique Proost en Samantha Klop, die zich bezig hielden met de omgevingen en de kostuums, hebben we concept art gemaakt, voor een fictieve film remake naar het boek van Jules Verne.
Het verhaal speelt zich af in 1872, maar in een parallelle wereld, waarin elektriciteit nooit is uitgevonden, maar alle luxe en multifunctionele voorwerpen op stoom werken. Ik richtte me hierbij op de verschillende voorwerpen of ‘props’ die te zien zouden zijn in één scene.

Around the World in Eighty Days concept art

I have a huge interest in movies and especially concept art, so I decided to give it a try.
Together with illustrators Monique Proost and Samantha Klop, who designed the decors and costumes, I made concept art for a fictional movie remake of ‘Around the World in Eighty Days’ based on the novel by Jules Verne.
The story takes place in 1872, but in a parallell world, where electricity was never invented, but all sorts of luxury and multifunctional products worked on steam. I designed the props that would be used in one particular scene of the movie.
